Happy #WordNerdWednesday, y’all! This week I’m reading Girls Who Travel, a work of fiction by Nicole Trilivas. It.is.so.good. The main character, Kika, is super likable and I can totally relate to her life, which makes this novel all the more fun to read. She’s from Long Island and works in NYC (when she’s not out, blogging about her world travels) — similarly, I’m from Westchester and work (off and on) in NYC (when I’m not wandering around in another state/country). TWINS.
Here’s the opening paragraph from Girls Who Travel:
Ten thousand miles away, my mom was probably wondering why I hadn’t called her. But when you’re living inside a tropical screen saver and having knee-weakening sex with a professional Irish rogue, you tend to neglect mundane tasks.
Intrigued yet? Hah, this book is my jam and I think y’all should check it out.
Spread kindness and cheer, xo
