Iceland Revisited

I still don’t know why, exactly, but I do think people can have a spiritual connection to landscape, and I certainly did in Iceland. -Hannah Kent

A year ago today I was gearing up for a European adventure — and the first stop was Iceland! I arrived on Feb. 2, 2015 and I’veΒ reminisced about my time there every day since.

Cheers to 2017

Wasn’t I just writing up my ‘Cheers to 2016‘ post?! Someone, please alert Father Time for he must’ve pressed fast forward or something. This time last year I was still temping around NYC, getting ready for a European adventure and learning to love, long-distance.

A Rainy Sunday

It’s a rainy Sunday here in NY, I’m single-digit-days away from turning the big 2-5 and all I can think about is how the one person I want to spend it with the most is nearly 7,000 miles away, on the other side of the planet. Embrace Life

With all the tragedies hitting our news feeds lately, it’s easy to get caught up in all the sadness in this world. We must remember to band together and fight fear and anger with love and love and love and love and…puppies.

How can that not make you smile? Pups have so much pure happiness, it’s so freakin’ heartwarming.

Embrace your friends.

Get a tattoo.

Recreate a childhood photo.

Laugh at how awkward prom was.

Send some snail mail.

Give back to charity.

Express your true feelings.

Even if you fall down…

…someone is always there to lift you back up.

Spread kindness and cheer, xo

Thank You!

Today I’ve hit 125 followers. Wooo!

I started this blog close to a year ago, back when I was working at NBC Nightly News in NYC. Soon after, I quit my job (broadcast news was not for me), started temping around NYC, traveled to the West Coast for a bit, temped some more, got a tattoo, learned violin (or at leastΒ attempted to…), fell in love and traveled to Europe for three weeks. Oh, and ate tonsΒ of deliciousΒ food along the way.

Still figuring out my life at the moment…I hope y’all continue to follow my journeys along the way!

Spread kindness and cheer, xo
